Custom Gazebos & BBQ Zones Built for Everyday Joy
We bring architecture, craftsmanship, and building science together. Every project starts with a clear brief, a site survey, and a plan that respects wind, sun path, drainage, utilities, and code. The result? Shade where you want it, airflow where you need it, and fire-safe cooking layouts that are a pleasure to use and easy to maintain.

What You Can Expect

Pavilionix was founded by designers, builders, and outdoor-kitchen specialists who believe a gazebo or BBQ zone should feel like a natural extension of your home, not an afterthought. We treat your site like a small piece of architecture: foundations and footings sized to soil and load; posts, beams, and rafters detailed for stiffness and longevity; roofing and flashing specified for heavy rain; and finishes chosen for beauty and resilience.

We work in hardwoods (teak, merbau, bengkirai), engineered woods, aluminum, galvanized and powder-coated steel, and hybrid systems that combine the warmth of timber with the stability of metal frames. Roof options include shingles, standing-seam metal, polycarbonate, glass with shading, and insulated sandwich panels for thermal comfort. For BBQs and outdoor kitchens, we specify non-combustible surfaces, proper clearances, ventilation, grease management, and weather-sealed storage. Lighting, fans, sockets, gas/electrics, and drainage are integrated from the start, not patched in at the end.

Sustainability and safety guide our decisions. We source durable materials with long service lives, design for repairability, protect timber with proper joinery and finishes, and route utilities cleanly to reduce future maintenance. You get a structure that looks effortless because the hard thinking is hidden inside.

Comprehensive Gazebo & BBQ Zone Services

  • Custom Gazebos, Pergolas & Pavilions

From classic garden gazebos with hip roofs to modern pergolas with adjustable louvers, we design and build shade structures tailored to your footprint and style. Options include fixed and motorized canopies, privacy screens, insect mesh, all-weather curtains, decorative lattices, and integrated planters. We model sun and wind to place openings, height, and roof pitch for comfort and airflow; posts and footings are engineered for stability and longevity.

Highlights: hardwood or aluminum frames, concealed fasteners, corrosion-resistant hardware, integrated LED lines, and dimmable ambience lighting that brings evenings to life.
  • Outdoor Kitchens & BBQ Islands

We create cooking zones that feel like a chef’s station outdoors—ergonomic, safe, and weather-ready. Layouts follow a working triangle (prep, cook, serve) with clearances for fire safety and movement. Islands and counters use non-combustible, UV-stable materials (stone, porcelain/slabs, concrete, stainless steel). Appliances range from gas and charcoal grills to smokers, pizza ovens, teppanyaki plates, wok burners, and side refrigerators/ice wells.

Details that matter: splash and grease protection, cross-vented cabinets, drip trays and grease management, GFCI/RCD-protected outlets, task lighting at the grill line, and shade/stack ventilation planning so smoke leaves the social area—not your clothes.
  • Surfaces, Hardscape & Drainage

A good pavilion sits on a great base. We pour slabs or build raised decks with slope-to-drain, specify non-slip finishes, and detail expansion joints to prevent cracking. Surrounding hardscape—paths, steps, seating walls, fire-safe clearances—completes the zone. We integrate a subtle floor drain or dry well where needed and keep edging tidy so grass or gravel transitions look intentional.
  • Fire Features & Safety Systems

Add a fire pit, linear burner, or a wood-burning corner—safely. We detail clearances to combustibles, spark guards, and non-combustible surrounds; for gas fire features we include shut-offs, ventilation, and service access. Optional smoke detectors (where sensible), fire blankets, and extinguishers are integrated into the design rather than looking like afterthoughts.
  • Permits, Drawings & Project

ManagementIf your municipality requires approvals, we handle drawings, structural notes, and coordination. Our site leads schedule excavations, concrete, framing, utilities, and finishes with minimal disruption and clean daily housekeeping.
